Although hiking in Imlil has become very popular in recent years, most places are still very quiet so you often feel like you have the whole place to yourself. It may be that you only have to share the views with a couple of mountain goats!
The best time for hiking is spring, late summer and autumn, when the temperatures are slightly cooler, the crowds have disappeared and flowers and greenery fill the landscapes.
Walk through the village of Tamatert and picnic at the col (pass) of Tizi N'Tamatert (2279m). From here one can view the two valleys, down into the Imane Valley and back down to Imlil valley
Walk up to the forest Pass through the villages of Targa Imoula and Tamatert, The views of Imlil and the terraces are beautiful from here.

Walk up to the pass of Tizi N'Tamatert (2279 m), and descend into the stunning Imane valley. Walk by the village of Tinoghrine and around to the village of Aguersiwal, follow river courses back to Imlil.
Trek up to the cool waters by the Sanctuary of Sidi Chamharouch, taking the route towards Toubkal. Follow the course of the Reraya river, passing the village of Aremd and crossing over and up to the other side of the Aït Mizane valley.
Walk through the village of Mzik and picnic at the col (pass) of Tizi N'Mzik (2489m). From here one can view the two valleys, down into the Azzaden Valley and back down to Imlil valley
